Creative Education Foundation Zanzibar (CEFZ) is reimagining education for Zanzibar’s most vulnerable children.
A grassroots organization dedicated to creating brighter futures for orphaned and underserved youth, CEFZ is founded on the belief that every child deserves care, opportunity, and access to a quality education.
CEFZ School is unique in Zanzibar for its Waldorf curriculum, which teaches through creativity, movement, and imagination, and for its seven-acre biodynamic school farm. At the heart of their work is a free, holistic education that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Through small classrooms, dedicated teachers, nutritious meals, and access to healthcare, children are supported not only as students, but as whole human beings—empowered to learn, grow, and imagine new possibilities for their lives.
With a student body made up of 70% girls, CEFZ is also helping raise educated, independent young women equipped to shape their own futures.
